Ever wonder about what the "Friends" actress, Jennifer Aniston did before she actually hit the screens in the American sitcom "Friends"? Jennifer was born in Sherman Oaks, California on February 11th, 1969..She is of Greek descent and spent her childhood in her native homeland of Greece, but was then raised in New York when her father got a part in the drama "Love of Life".
At the young age of 11 she joined the Rudolf Steiner School’s drama club. Her time there was also helped by her interest in art. When she was 11 one of her paintings was chosen to be in an exhibit at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art. She began professional training as a drama student at New York's High School of Performing Arts. When she graduated in 1987 she went on to get roles in off-Broadway plays such as "For Dear Life" and "Dancing On Checker's Grave". In 1989 she got her first TV role as a regular in the series "Malloy". Her other regular parts in shows include "Ferris Beuller" and "The Edge". She has also had guest roles in "Quantum Leap", "Burkes Law" and "Partners". She then got her big break in "Friends" which was not really a big surprise to her, after all it was what she had spent a lot of her life training for. The series that got her name known all around the world was "Friends". It also got her the most famous hair cut in history (known as "the Rachel" in America),which was quite ironic considering she never really liked her hair. Series 4 of "Friends" can be seen on Friday, Channel 4 at 9:00pm and the repeats from the previous series can be weekdays on Sky. Jennifer has also being in a number feature films including "Picture Perfect", "She's the One" and "Til There Was You". She stars opposite Paul Rudd (Josh in "Clueless") in her most recent film "The Object of My Affections". She has also gone interactive in the CD-ROM title "Movie Maker" which she stared in with Quentin Tarantino and was directed by Steven Speilberg. At the moment she lives in Los Angeles and she spends her free time painting, hiking and camping. There are also rumours that she is dating Brad Pitt but there is nothing yet to confirm the rumours.
